STUDIO LESSONS
For those who wish to acquire the skill of traditional lampshade making on a one-to-one basis or in a private group, Jennifer Fraser offers bespoke lessons in her Hampshire Studio. Feel free to contact Jenny directly to discuss this exciting option.
Jennifer Fraser Lampshades has been successfully teaching students the art of traditional lampshade making in her studio in rural Hampshire, UK. In-person lessons are tailored to the student's unique abilities. Courses are available for beginners and professionals alike, with subjects ranging from gathered and tailored lampshades to advanced techniques and pleating. Courses can be taught on a one-to-one or small group basis, so full attention can be given. Enjoy learning this new and exciting skill fireside (there's a lovely woodburner) or out in the garden, weather dependent. Plentiful supplies of cake and coffee keep the creative energies flowing.

ONLINE LESSONS
Across the miles and through the lens, it is amazing what one can achieve through the power of the Internet.

Jennifer Fraser Lampshades has been successfully teaching students from around the world the art of traditional lampshade making via online lessons suitable for beginners and professionals alike. The course is taught on a one-to-one basis, in real time, and involves no pre-recorded instruction. You will receive the full and undivided attention of Jenny Fraser herself, enabling you to focus more on the quality of instruction where you as an individual need it most. Over several sessions, Jenny works with each student at his or her own pace in order to complete their first lampshade. A specialist kit is included and a full list of other essential items is enclosed as well.

WORKSHOPS
Studio Workshops

From time to time, Jenny runs workshops from her Hampshire lampshade studio. These are led by Jenny and have a maximum of four students. All lampshade making supplies are provided by the studio, and the student's only responsibility is to bring lunch. Of course, ample cake and coffee will be provided. Travelling Workshops
​
Jenny will consider undertaking workshops in a variety of locations across the United Kingdom on an individual basis. These are often in collaboration with established soft furnishing/craft/interior design businesses.
